SHORT DESCRIPTION: Update to Section 7-Admin of
the MarkeTrak User Guide: “Removing User Access”.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: MarkeTrak Administrators
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT’s MarkeTrak application
is currently having problems with the “Removing User Access”
procedure documented in Section 7-Admin of the MarkeTrak User Guide. The
current procedure causes errors on MarkeTrak issues, preventing them from being
transitioned. To temporarily fix this problem ERCOT is requesting that
MarkeTrak Administrators use the following steps to remove MarkeTrak user’s
access from the application:
General Tab of the Administrator Edit User Screen
1. Add the text “-DEACTIVATED” to the end of
both the Login ID and Full Name.
2. Leave the Product Access set to ‘User’
3. Leave the Associated Contact to ‘Create/Update Record from User’
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The MarkeTrak User Guide –
Section 7 is in the process of being edited to reflect this new procedure for removing
user access. ERCOT will notify the market when the revised MarkeTrak User
Guide – Section 7 has been finalized and approved.
