SHORT DESCRIPTION: Twenty-Fifth Annual ERCOT
Operations Training Seminar Registration Now Open
INTENDED AUDIENCE: The target audience for the
seminar is qualified scheduling entity (QSE) and transmission/distribution
service provider (TDSP) operators and those who provide management, supervision
and support for the operators. The seminar is also open to power marketers,
retail electric providers and others associated with the bulk electric system.

the Operations Working Group (OWG). You are required to register in advance for
the rehearsal session.
LONG DESCRIPTION: Registration for the
Twenty-Fifth Annual ERCOT Operations Training Seminar is now open. For more
information and to locate the registration form, please go to Operations
Training Seminar page on ERCOT.com. Attendants may receive up to 18
NERC-approved Continuing Education Hours for attending.
The seminar will be held
at the Wyndham Garden
Hotel – Austin. The Wyndham is located at 3401 South IH-35, Austin, Texas,
78741. Contact the hotel at 512-448-2444. Texas Regional Entity has a limited
block of rooms available at the Wyndham for the event rate of $102 per night.
Mention Texas Regional Entity or ERCOT to receive this rate when booking.
Individuals are
responsible for making their own hotel reservations. You are urged to
make hotel reservations as soon as possible to ensure that you have
accommodations (especially during the week of March 16, when South by Southwest
will be going on at the same time as the conference). Each
individual is also responsible for contacting the hotel to change or cancel the
reservation should the need arise. Texas Regional Entity and ERCOT will not be
held responsible for any hotel charges.
Cost of
Registration before March 1, 2009 – $299.00
Cost of
Registration on or after March 1, 2009 – $349.00
The cost of
this year’s seminar is greater than in recent years due to the offsite
location.
Cancellation
of registration may result in a partial refund ($229 of $299, or $279 of $349)
only if it occurs prior to the reservation/payment deadline. After the payment
deadline, there will be no refund.
Payment of the seminar
registration fee is required in advance. Registration will not be complete and
honored if payment is not received by the respective payment deadlines above in
the Seminar Schedule. Texas Regional Entity does not accept credit cards.
Registration will be
accepted on a space-available basis. Accepted registrants will receive a
confirmation number from Texas Regional Entity.

1. Registration Form: Please go to the Operations
Training Seminar page on ERCOT.com. and complete the seminar
registration form. Submit to Mishani Kasper at the address below or via email

2. Payment:
a. If paying by check, the check must
accompany the registration form(s).
Please be sure to reference the attendee’s name(s) on the
check.

3. Registration Confirmation: A registrant will receive a
confirmation notice from Texas Regional Entity that the registration form and
payment has been received. Registrations will be accepted on a space-available
basis. Accepted registrants will receive a confirmation number from Texas
Regional Entity. Because the seminar will be held offsite, your attendance
registration number will coincide with a specific badge number.
4. Attendee Changes: A non-registrant will not
be able to attend in the place of a registrant after the registration deadline.
Before the deadline, you may change your registration to another
name by contacting Mishani Kasper at [log in to unmask].
You must receive a confirmation. Due to the formal badge assignment process,
you will not be admitted to the conference without a valid registration number.
