NOTICE DATE: February 11, 2009 NOTICE TYPE: M-A012209-02 REMINDER/ UPDATE: Release - Retail SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has an on-cycle Retail Release planned for 12:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2009 through 12:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2009. INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants DAY AFFECTED: 12:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2009 through 12:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2009. LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has an on-cycle Retail Release scheduled from 12:00 PM Saturday, February 21, 2009 through 12:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2009. For reference, nine (9) Market impacting SIRs and twenty-four (24) non-Market impacting SIRs are included in the attachment. Please note that additional SIRs (both Market impacting and non-Market impacting) have been added to this Retail Release. ERCOT will implement SIR 12140 to enhance the Customer Registration Database with a change from Active Directory (AD) to Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). Implementation of SIR 12140 will resolve the Market Participant Dispute function that currently is not operating properly. ERCOT has had a workaround in place. This enhancement will be a permanent solution. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: During the outage the following functions will be affected: * Market Participants utilizing NAESB to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT will NOT be able to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT during the outage. This includes all retail transactions. * 867 transactions will NOT be forwarded during the outage. * 997 Functional Acknowledgements will NOT be sent during the outage. * Components of the TML and Commercial API will NOT be available including: * Find ESI ID * Find Transaction * Submit Transactions * USA Functionalities * Report Explorer, including * Reports * Extracts * Invoices * Settlement Statements * Extract Scheduler * Web Services Data Requests * ERCOT Internet Services will NOT be available, including but not limited to: * ERCOT.com - www.ercot.com<http://www.ercot.com/> * MarkeTrak - https://marketrak.ercot.com:8443/tmtrack.dll? * TCR - https://tcr.ercot.com<https://tcr.ercot.com/> * Texas Renewables - www.texasrenewables.com<http://www.texasrenewables.com/> MOS, Scheduling API, MOSTML, MOSPUBLIC, and Outage Scheduler will not be affected as there will be a DNS failover from Taylor to Austin.
