SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an internal processing issue with the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) application from 11:56 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2009 through 6:30 PM Thursday, March 12, 2009.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs

DAY AFFECTED:  From 11:56 AM Wednesday, March 11, 2009 through 6:30 PM Thursday, March 12, 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an internal processing issue with the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) application affecting six Market Participants beginning on March 11, 2009 at 11:56 AM through March 12, 2009 at approximately 6:30 PM. 

There were a total of 8,905 transactions received from those six Market Participants that failed to process until the degradation was completed.

ERCOT will e-mail each of the affected Market Participants and log informational ERCOT Initiated MarkeTrak issues with transaction specific information.

Route cause is unknown and additional details will be provided in the ERCOT IT Incident Market Notice Summary.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an error with an automated inbound process on the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for a sub-set of Market Participants beginning on March 11, 2009 at 11:56 AM through March 12, 2009 at approximately 6:30 PM.  The process was executed manually and completed successfully.

All inbound files have now been successfully processed.  Approximately 6,000 files were impacted.

The transaction level detail will be provided to the impacted Market Participants.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Root cause analysis is ongoing.
