SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation of LPGRR032, Profile Decision Tree Changes for Advanced Meters, Including New Profile IDs

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  Date TBD – Scheduled for Q4 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The ERCOT Board of Directors approved LPGRR032, Profile Decision Tree Changes for Advanced Meters, on March 17, 2009.  The resulting changes to the Profile Decision Tree will be effective with the implementation of the interim solution for Advanced Meters, scheduled for Q4 2009. 

While there are no new load profiles resulting from LPGRR032 there will be 288 new load profile IDs (e.g., BUSHILF_COAST_IDR_NWS_NOTOU), as shown in the attachment.  In the spirit of the 150-day notice requirement of any change in load profile methodology, this announcement is to make Market Participants aware that 288 new profile IDs will become effective in Q4 2009, as referenced above.

A revised Appendix D: Profile Decision Tree depicting the effective system implementation timeline in Q4 2009 will be posted with the ERCOT Load Profiling Guide by April 1, 2009.

ACTION REQUIRED:  System testing is recommended for Market Participants utilizing load profile IDs to ensure seamless processing of the new load profile IDs (attachment).
