SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has issued a Request for Proposal for Emergency Interruptible Load Service for the contract period June 1, 2009 through September 30, 2009

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs)

DAY AFFECTED:  Resource identification information is due April 24, 2009; bids and Self-Provision offers are due May 8, 2009.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Emergency Interruptible Load Service (EILS) for the contract period June 1, 2009, through September 30, 2009. Resource identification information is due to ERCOT by April 24, 2009.  Bids and Self-Provision offers are due May 8, 2009.

The RFP and all supporting documents associated with the procurement of EILS are available on the ERCOT website.  These documents include:

· EILS RFP

· EILS combined Resource Identification and Registration/Proposal Form

· EILS Technical Requirements and Scope of Work

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Additional information and associated forms are posted to the ERCOT EILS web page at http://www.ercot.com/services/programs/load/eils/index.html.

Awarded bids will be communicated to QSEs by ERCOT on May 15, 2009.  Summary information on these awards will be released in a Market Notice no later than May 18, 2009.
