DESCRIPTION:
Texas Regional Entity (Texas RE) is hosting a
workshop to allow market participants to learn more about compliance with North
American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and Electric
Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) regional requirements for reliability of
the bulk electric system. This workshop will be held at ERCOT’s MET
Center, in Austin, Texas, on May 6, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Texas
RE, Pam Whittington from the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), Suzanna
Strangmeier from NERC, and Nick Henery from the Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (FERC) will cover compliance program material, and attendees will
have the opportunity to ask questions.
Information
from this workshop will be valuable for Qualified Scheduling Entities
(QSEs); Resource Entities; Transmission Operators
(TOs); Transmission and Distribution Service Providers
(TDSPs); ERCOT independent system operator staff; and PUCT staff.
