SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The usage time periods on which the load profile segment assignments are based will be updated in the Profile Decision Tree

DAY AFFECTED:  June 15, 2009
LONG DESCRIPTION:  The Profile Decision Tree, which is Appendix D of the Load Profiling Guide, contains the directions to determine the profile segment assignment for an ESI ID.  At the meeting on June 4, 2009, the ERCOT Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) approved updates to the usage time periods utilized in profile segment determinations.  The usage time period for the Residential profile determination has been extended to include an additional year while the usage period for the Business profile has been shifted forward one year.
The changes have been incorporated into two versions of the Profile Decision Tree, both of which will be posted on ERCOT.com by close of business on June 5, 2009.  The updated versions that will be posted at http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/guides/loadprofiling/current are:

            ●    Dates are changed on the Segment Assignment tab
            ●    Effective June 15, 2009
            ●    Listed as “Appendix D:  Profile Decision Tree (effective June 15, 2009)”
            Profile Decision Tree, 2009 v1.2.1
            ●    Dates are changed on the Segment Assignment tab
            ●    Effective upon system implementation of the interim solution for 15-minute settlement for advanced meters, scheduled for November 2009
            ●    Listed as “Appendix D:  Profile Decision Tree (Upon System Implementation)”
ACTION REQUIRED:  CRs who perform their own profile segment calculations need to update the usage periods used in these computations.
