SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Eskota Switching Station SPS Proposal

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  Proposed in-service date To Be Determined (TBD)

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT received a proposal from Oncor Electric Delivery for a new Special Protection System (SPS) at the Eskota Switching Station. This SPS is intended to protect against overloading on the Eskota – South Abilene 138 kV Line, the Eskota 138/69 kV Autotransformer, and the Eskota – Northwest Abilene 69 kV Line which can overload under various system conditions.

Upon completion of its review, ERCOT has granted approval of the Eskota Switching Station SPS. Information regarding SPSs can be viewed on the ERCOT Planning and Operations Information secure website:  http://planning.ercot.com/login/login.

Oncor has not yet finalized an in-service date for this SPS. ERCOT will send an updated Market Notice when the in-service date is determined.
