SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT’s retail processing systems experienced an outage in service from 11:19 PM Sunday, August 9, 2009 to 12:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2009.

DAYS AFFECTED:  11:19 PM Sunday, August 9, 2009 to 12:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT’s retail processing systems experienced an outage in service from 11:19 PM Sunday, August 9, 2009 to 12:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2009.  

The root cause was a hardware failure. The retail systems are now functioning properly.
