SHORT DESCRIPTION: NAESB became unresponsive at approximately 4:25 AM on Sunday, August 16, 2009. ERCOT was unable to receive or send transactions from approximately 4:25 AM until 7:58 AM on Sunday, August 16, 2009.

 INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRs and TDSPs        

DAY AFFECTED:  Sunday, August 16  4:25 AM to 7:58 AM

LONG DESCRIPTION:  NAESB became unresponsive at approximately 4:25 AM on Sunday, August 16, 2009. ERCOT was unable to receive or send transactions from approximately 4:25 AM until 7:58 AM on Sunday, August 16, 2009.

The NAESB, EDI, EAI, Customer Registration, and MarkeTrak databases had to be stopped to do a restart. Root cause will continue to be investigated on Monday, August 17, 2009.
