SHORT DESCRIPTION: Cancellation and notification for all switches updated to two business days prior to the Scheduled Meter Read Date (SMRD).

INTENDED AUDIENCE: CRs and TDSPs

DAY AFFECTED: October 24, 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION: System changes to comply with the requirements for the PUCT amendments regarding expedited switches were implemented on August 16, 2009 (see Informational Notice R-A071609-01 and Market Notice M-A080609-01).  Effective October 24, 2009, to facilitate transactional processing of switch  cancellations,  ERCOT will shorten the cancellation (814_08) and notification (814_06) windows for all switches from five business days to two business days prior to the Scheduled Meter Read Date (SMRD).

In addition, the reject code used on the 814_09s to communicate to the submitting CR that the cancellation is within the two business day window prior to the SMRD is being changed to the code CW2, instead of CW5.
