SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT experienced a retail
transaction processing degradation from approximately 3:30 AM to 2:30 PM on
Monday, September 28, 2009. Some transactions processed out of
protocol.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: CRs and TDSPs
DAY AFFECTED: September 28, 2009, from
approximately 3:30 AM to 2:30 PM
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT experienced a
retail transaction processing degradation from approximately 3:30 AM to 2:30 PM
on Monday, September 28, 2009.
The retail transaction processing issue has been
resolved. All
transactions backlogged in the queue were processed by 8:30 PM Monday,
September 28, 2009.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT
has identified the volume and transactions that were impacted. Initial lists of
reprocessed transactions were sent to affected CRs on Monday, September 28,
2009.
Lists will be sent by close of business today with the
remaining transactions that were reprocessed. ERCOT will send final lists
tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, showing transactions that did not require
reprocessing, but were out of protocol.

is currently experiencing degradation in the processing of retail transactions.
ERCOT is working to resolve this issue. Efforts are
underway to indentify the volume and transactions that were impacted.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT
Retail Account Managers will provide affected Market Participants with an
initial list of impacted transactions by the end of the day today and
additional lists as they become available.
