LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT
has been notified of an issue processing a subset of retail transactions
outbound as a result of the NAESB issues experienced on September 27,
2009.
ERCOT has analyzed these issues to determine the volume and
transactions impacted. The count of impacted transactions is as follows:

All impacted transactions that have a potential for
out-of-synch are being addressed with MarkeTrak issues. These MarkeTrak issues
have been created.
Lists of all impacted transactions will be sent to affected
Market Participants in an update market notice before end of the day Friday,
October 2, 2009.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
ERCOT has logged MarkeTrak issues for those transactions that had potential for
an out-of-synch to coordinate reprocessing efforts with impacted market
participants.

LONG DESCRIPTION: At approximately 7 PM on September 27, 2009, after
migration of PR80031_01 Retail Application Upgrades, ERCOT began receiving
failed NAESB transactions from one
Market Participant and one Service Provider representing 53 Market
Participants.
ERCOT attempted to contact the market participant and service provider to
determine if errors were related to the migration or a different problem.
ERCOT was unable to make contact with those market participants and
consequently, ERCOT management made the decision to roll back the NAESB
portion of the migration. The other components of this weekend’s release
were not rolled back.
Once
the rollback was completed some NAESB transactions continued to fail. At
3:00 AM on September 28, 2009, ERCOT was able to contact the service provider.
After they rebooted their systems, the errors stopped occurring.

ERCOT Retail Processing was restored at 4:34 AM.
