SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced Retail Transaction processing issues on September 27, 2009 from 10:22 PM to September 28, 2009 at 4:34 AM.

DAY AFFECTED:  September 27, 2009 from 10:22 PM to September 28, 2009 at 4:34 AM
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue processing a subset of outbound retail transactions resulting from the NAESB issues that occurred on September 27, 2009.
All impacted transactions having a potential to cause out-of-synch conditions are being addressed with MarkeTrak issues. These MarkeTrak issues have been created.
Lists of all impacted transactions not addressed by the MarkeTrak issues will be sent to affected Market Participants before the end of the day Friday, October 2, 2009.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Other than responding to the open MarkeTrak issues, no action is required by affected MPs. The lists being sent on Friday, October 2 are for informational purposes only and will be accompanied by an e-mail with additional details.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced Retail Transaction processing issues on September 27, 2009 from 10:22 PM to September 28, 2009 at 4:34 AM.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  At approximately 7 PM on September 27, 2009, after migration of PR80031_01 Retail Application Upgrades, ERCOT began receiving failed NAESB transactions from one Market Participant and one Service Provider representing 53 Market Participants.  ERCOT attempted to contact the market participant and service provider to determine if errors were related to the migration or a different problem.  ERCOT was unable to make contact with those market participants and consequently, ERCOT management made the decision  to roll back the NAESB portion of the migration. The other components of this weekend's release were not rolled back.
Once the rollback was completed some NAESB transactions continued to fail.  At 3:00 AM on September 28, 2009, ERCOT was able to contact the  service provider.  After they rebooted their systems, the errors stopped occurring.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT Retail Processing was restored at 4:34 AM.
