SHORT DESCRIPTION: Competitive Retailer (CR) submission of Customer Billing Contact
Information (CBCI) should be created and submitted between December 1,
2009 and December 15, 2009.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All CRs
DAY AFFECTED: December 1, 2009 to December 15, 2009
LONG DESCRIPTION: As required per the Retail Market Guide Section 7.11.6.2,
Monthly Submission of Customer Billing Contact Information, all CRs shall
submit, monthly, timely and complete Customer Billing Contact Information
files. Files shall be created and submitted to ERCOT between the 1st and
15th of each calendar month.
ACTION REQUIRED: Between December 1, 2009 and December 15, 2009, all CRs should
submit to ERCOT, via NAESB, a Customer Billing Contact Information file (CBCI
file). For any DUNS numbers that do not have active ESI IDs, the CR will
not be required to submit a file for customer billing contact information.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: For additional details, see Appendix F6, File Layout for
Customer Billing Contact Information, of the Retail Market Guide (located at http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/guides/retail/current.html ) for
information on file formats for transmittal of Customer Billing Contact
Information files and ERCOT responses.
RMGRR 078 was implemented on
October 25, 2009. There are two changes, one to the CBCI file submitted by the Competitive
Retailer (CR), and the other to the response file sent to the submitting CR by
ERCOT. The CBCI file sent by the CR must now contain the addition of an
e-mail field. The response file from ERCOT will contain the addition of
the Electric Service Identifier (ESI ID) field.
Competitive Retailers (CRs) that have
not updated their CBCI file submission process
to be compatible with these changes will receive reject responses from ERCOT.
