SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Final determination of RMR status for City of Garland Spencer 4 and 5

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  February 2, 2010

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT System Planning previously issued an initial determination that City of Garland’s Spencer Unit 4 and Unit 5 are needed for Reliability Must Run (RMR) Service in 2010. ERCOT System Planning has now completed additional studies and confirmed the initial determination that only one of the two Spencer units is necessary for RMR Service for 2010. ERCOT will follow up this analysis with an exit strategy review.
