SHORT DESCRIPTION: This morning, ERCOT
experienced retail transaction processing issues impacting ERCOT generated
cancellation and notification transactions and 814_20s.
INTENDED
AUDIENCE: CRs and TDSPs
DAY AFFECTED: May 25, 2010 from 06:00 to 08:59
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT experienced
retail transaction processing outage resulting in a delay in sending ERCOT
generated cancellation and notification transactions and 814_20s.
ERCOT Retail Transaction processing has been restored and is
functioning normally.
Processing of impacted transactions resumed immediately following the
affected time indicated and ERCOT has verified that all transactions have been
processed successfully. No action by Retail Market Participants is
necessary.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: A root cause was the result of manual
troubleshooting efforts that inadvertently caused issues with the early morning
batch run, which then prevented retail processing from occurring without manual
intervention.
