SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Approved proposal to install a new SPS at Mount Enterprise

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 1, 2010

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT has received a request to install a Special Protection System (SPS) at the Oncor Mount Enterprise substation. This SPS is intended to protect against overloads on the Mount Enterprise – Nacogdoches 345 kV line that can occur under various system conditions. ERCOT has completed its review and has approved the proposal.
