SHORT DESCRIPTION:  On Friday, May 7, 2010, ERCOT experienced an internal system processing issue resulting in some transactions processing out of protocol.

DAY AFFECTED:  Friday, May 7, 2010 from 9:27 to 14:42

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On Friday, May 7, 2010 from 9:27 to 14:42, ERCOT experienced an internal system processing issue which limited the movement of transactions from ERCOT’s NAESB system to ERCOT’s EDI server.

ERCOT has processed all delayed transactions.

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On Friday, May 7, 2010 from 9:27 to 14:42, ERCOT experienced an internal system processing issue which limited the movement of transactions from our NAESB system to our EDI.

ERCOT is currently processing those delayed transactions.  The impact to transactions will be analyzed and Market Participants with adversely impacted transactions will be notified.

The root cause was a data capacity issue and has been addressed.  Additional details will be provided in the monthly ERCOT IT Incident Market Notice Summary.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT Retail Account Manager’s will provide adversely impacted affected Market Participant’s with a list of impacted transactions when they become available.
