DESCRIPTION: ERCOT
experienced an outage of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) impacting
retail transaction processing on May 26, 2010 from 06:16 to 07:33.
INTENDED
AUDIENCE: CRs and TDSPs
DAY AFFECTED: May 26, 2010 from 06:16 to 07:33
LONG DESCRIPTION: On May 26, 2010 from 06:16 to 07:33, ERCOT experienced
an outage of Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) which impacted retail
transaction processing.
ERCOT retail transaction processing has been restored and is
functioning normally.
Processing of impacted transactions resumed immediately following the
outage, and ERCOT has verified that all transactions have been processed
successfully. No action by Market Participants is necessary.
ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION: The root cause of
the outage was an index issue on the Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) database. Additional details will be provided in the
monthly ERCOT IT Incident Market Notice Summary.
