SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Some QSEs may need to confirm browser and settings to view Settlement Statement XML files
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs
DAY AFFECTED:  May 11, 2010
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On May 4, 2010, ERCOT communicated a workaround to allow Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) to properly view Settlement Statements as a result of ERCOT implementing a repair to the Settlement Statement XML view. Although the workaround is accurate, some QSEs may continue to experience issues viewing their Settlement Statement XML files. Those QSEs will need to confirm use of Internet Explorer (IE) 6 or 7 and update browser settings where appropriate.
Please see steps below if issues still exist when attempting to view your Settlement Statements.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

 1.  Verify use of ERCOT-supported internet browser (IE6 or IE7 only).
 2.  Update ERCOT-preferred browser settings; please see attachment(s).
 3.  Close all browsers.
 4.  Reopen browser and access Texas Market Link (TML).
 5.  For Settlement Statements published on TML prior to May 3, 2010, please follow the additional Workaround steps from ERCOT Market Notice dated May 4, 2010 (attached below). Settlement Statements published after May 3, 2010, should have no further issues.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Final - The XML view of Settlement Statements is not rendering properly
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs
DAY AFFECTED:  May 3-4, 2010
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has implemented the repair to the Settlement Statement XML view. Any Statement posted from today forward will render properly when opened in a browser window. Statements posted previous to today, May 4, 2010, and available on TML will need to have the workaround detailed below applied in order to be viewable. ERCOT has developed a workaround so that entities can open these statements with the XML Stylesheet. Please see details below.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Workaround steps:

 1.  Save Statement to a folder.
 2.  Open the Statement in a text editor. (Notepad, Wordpad, etc.)
 3.  Place your cursor at the end of the first line and hit "Return" (insert one line after the first line)
 4.  Copy the following statement and paste into the blank line (must be in the second line of the file):
<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="https://tml.ercot.com/reportServer/ReportIncludes/xsl/SettlementStatementSummary.xsl"?>

 1.  Save the file
 2.  Double-click on the file to open, it should now call the style sheet and open in a readable format.
