SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Sandow Switching Station SPS #40 and #43 have been disabled

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  June 15, 2010

LONG DESCRIPTION:  Oncor submitted a proposal to disable the Sandow Switching Station SPS #40 and #43 at the Sandow Switching Station. SPS #40 protects against overloads on the Sandow – Minerva 138kV line. SPS #43 protects against overloads on the Sandow – Taylor; Sandow – Elgin; Elgin – Gilleland 138kV lines and the 345/138kV Autotransformer #1. Notice of disabling was provided on June 7, 2010.

As of June 15, 2010, these SPSs have been disabled. Information regarding SPSs is located in the “Special Protection Systems Information” section of the Planning and Operations Information secure website: http://planning.ercot.com/login/login.
