SHORT DESCRIPTION: Nodal Outreach Retail Panel scheduled for August 19, 2010

INTENDED AUDIENCE: Nodal Accountable Executives, Nodal Transition Project Managers, Market Trial Contacts, Retail Electric Providers, Load Serving Entities and other Aggregators or Brokers participating in the ERCOT Market

DAY AFFECTED: August 19, 2010, 12:15 – 16:30 (CDT)

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT continues to seek and provide the opportunity for Retail Electric Providers to participate in forums in preparation for the transition to the Texas Nodal Market. In lieu of scheduling a separate workshop in Houston, ERCOT invites Retail Electric Providers to the Gulf Coast Power Association (GCPA) workshop in Houston, Texas, on August 19, 2010, from 12:15 until 16:30 (CDT). ERCOT will participate in the GCPA workshop presentation and general discussion on risks and impacts from the transition to the Nodal market from the perspective of Load Serving Entities, including use of Congestion Revenue Rights, credit implications and settlement timelines. The workshop will be held at CenterPoint Energy Tower Auditorium, 1111 Louisiana Street, Houston, Texas, 77210.

The program will include a presentation by ERCOT on “Retail Electric Providers in the ERCOT Market” followed by panel discussions on the challenges and unknowns for Retail Electric Providers during the transition to the Nodal market.
