Counter-Party registration of Authorized Representative and Backup Authorized
Representative

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Protocol Section
16.11, Financial Security for Counter-Parties, requires that each Counter-Party
have one designated Authorized Representative and Credit Contact that ERCOT
will contact for credit purposes such as collateral calls, late payment notices
and breach or default notices. At this time, ERCOT requires that each
Counter-Party fill out the attached Notice of Change of Information (NCI) form
to designate an Authorized Representative and also a Backup Authorized
Representative. In addition, the Counter-Party may use this NCI to revise their
User Security Administrator (USA) for managing digital certificates used to
access the Counter-Party credit reports on the Market Information System (MIS).
ACTION REQUIRED: Counter-Parties are to
fill out the attached NCI form to designate their Authorized Representative and
Backup Authorized Representative and return the form to ERCOT per the
instructions included on the form.
To complete the NCI form, follow these steps:
1.
Enter Market Participant Account Name as registered on
Standard Form Agreement
2.
Enter DUNS Number associated with Market Participant
Account Name
3.
Check CP as Market Participant Type
4.
Check the appropriate boxes for the designations being
made
5.
Enter Effective Date of Change
6.
Complete Authorized Representative or Officer Signature
section
7.
On Attachment to NCI, Select appropriate Contact types
and provide information for each (AR and Backup AR) – changes to USA and
Backup USA Contacts are optional

INFORMATION:
A Counter-Party is the entity that represents the “Participant” on
the ERCOT Standard Form Agreement and Credit Application with Market
Participant roles of QSE and/or CRR Account Holders by the same Entity.
