SHORT DESCRIPTION: Proposal to install a new SPS
at Barney Davis

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT
has received a request to install a Special Protection System (SPS) at the
Barney Davis generation facilities (Barney Davis SPS) from American Electric
Power (AEP). This SPS will monitor flows on all lines leaving the Barney Davis
facilities and protects against overloads on Airline – Davis circuit 1
(Via Pharaoh), Airline – Davis circuit 2, Airline – Davis circuit 3
(Via Wooldridge), Davis – Holly (via Rodd Field), and Davis –
Nelson Sharpe 138kV lines.
The
proposal to add the Barney Davis SPS is being reviewed by ERCOT as described in
the SPS Approval Procedure. Comments on the proposed SPS are due by October
7, 2010, and should be submitted to [log in to unmask] using the attached comment form. Any
questions or concerns raised during this timeframe will be addressed by ERCOT
Staff or the entity submitting the SPS proposal.
