SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Unplanned system outages resolved    

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  October 22, 2010 from 07:42 to 11:42

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an unplanned system outage due to server problems. Most systems have been returned to service as of 11:04, and Reports and Extracts were returned to service at 11:42 on October 22, 2010.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The root cause is under investigation.

DAY AFFECTED:  October 22, 2010

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT is currently experiencing unplanned system outages due to server problems. The outages began around 07:45 on October 22, 2010. ERCOT is investigating the issue and a follow-up Market Notice will be sent when more information is available. 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  The following functions have been affected:

·         Texas Market Link (TML)

·         Find and Create Disputes

·         Find and Create Service Requests

·         Outage Scheduler

·         Network Model Management System (NMMS)

·         Market Participant Identity Management (MPIM)

·         Market Participants utilizing NAESB to send/receive transactions to/from ERCOT. This includes all retail transactions.

·         867 transactions

·         997 Functional Acknowledgements

·         Components of the TML and Commercial API are NOT available including:

·         ERCOT Internet Services will NOT be available, including but not limited to:

o    MarkeTrak - https://marketrak.ercot.com:8443/tmtrack.dll
