NOTICE DATE: November 19, 2010 NOTICE TYPE: M-B111910-02 UPDATE Outage- Retail/Wholesale SHORT DESCRPTION: ERCOT experienced a retail processing degradation on November 19, 2010 from 09:15 to 11:45 and a Texas Market Link (TML)/Market Information System (MIS) service outage from 08:15 to 11:10. INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants DAY AFFECTED: November 19, 2010 from 08:15 to 11:10 and 09:15 to 11:45 LONG DESCRPTION DESCRIPTION: Due to an Enterprise Application Integration processing failure, ERCOT's Texas Market Link (TML)/Market Information System (MIS) application experienced an unplanned outage on November 19, 2010 from 8:15 to 11:10. The processing failure has been corrected and Texas Market Link (TML)/Market Information System (MIS) functionality has been restored. Retail Processing A retail processing degradation occurred as a result of slower than normal processing in the ERCOT Registration database. Several connections to the database were killed at 11:45 and retail transaction processing has resumed to normal levels. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT is currently investigating what impact the degradation had on retail transactions. ERCOT will provide additional information as it becomes available.
