SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update on delayed posting of February 2011First Six Months CRR Auction results

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRR Account Holders

DAYS AFFECTED:  January 10, 2011, to current

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The posting of the February 2011First Six Months CRR Auction results continues to be delayed due to run times that are much longer than the December 2010 and January 2011 CRR Auction clearing times. The exact posting date of the February 2011 CRR Auction results is currently unknown, but ERCOT expects to have the results posted no later than Monday, January 24, 2011. If available, the results will be posted earlier than this date.

The contributing factors to the longer run times cannot be determined until the clearing completes; however, ERCOT suspects that the larger number of binding constraints in the CRR Auction is most likely causing the increased clearing time. ERCOT is investigating ways to reduce the clearing time.

A follow-up Notice will be sent when further information is available and/or when the results have been posted.
