NOTICE TYPE:  M-A021111-01 Outage Retail/Wholesale

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Database outage with impacted services    

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  February 11, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be implementing an unplanned failover of the Market Information Repository (MIR), Current Day Reports (CDR) and Credit Monitoring and Management (CMM) databases at 14:00. A site failover is necessary to mitigate issues caused by a faulty backup power source. A follow-up Notice will be sent when the failover is complete.

During the outage, Market Participants may experience issues with the following services:

·         Report publishing to the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS)

·         Downloading of extracts and reports from TML Report Explorer, PI API, MIS and External Web Services (EWS)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Please note that the CDR system will be impacted. Reports will be rerun and reposted as applicable. The MIS Dashboards and ercot.com price displays will not be populated with data during this timeframe.
