SHORT DESCRIPTION:  PSS status telemetry requirement

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs

DAY AFFECTED:  April 1, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT Protocol Section 3.15.3(4), QSE Responsibilities Related to Voltage Support, requires Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) to send Power System Stabilizer (PSS) status to ERCOT via telemetry for each Generation Resource providing Voltage Support Service (VSS). QSEs that are not currently providing PSS status must begin sending PSS status to ERCOT by April 1, 2011.

ACTION REQUIRED:  QSEs must provide PSS telemetry designating either “IN-SERVICE” or “OUT-OF-SERVICE” by April 1, 2011, for each Generation Resource.
