SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Approved proposal to revise Allen Switch Series Reactor on Ben Davis 138kV SPS #17

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  March 29, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT received a proposal to revise the Allen Switch Series Reactor on Ben Davis 138kV Special Protection System (SPS #17) from Oncor Electric Delivery (Oncor). The original SPS #17 design protects loading of the Allen Switch to Ben Davis 138kV line; the revised proposal modifies the SPS trigger point in order to protect overloading of the Parker Maxwell to Ben Davis 138kV circuit.

ERCOT has completed its review of the proposal and has approved the revision to SPS #17.
