SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Submission processing delays and brief application outage expected during database reconfiguration

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs, TSPs

DAY AFFECTED:  March 31, 2011, 16:30 – 16:45 CDT

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be completing a database reconfiguration between 16:30 and 16:45 CDT today, March 31, 2011, to reconfigure the databases for the Outage Scheduler (OS) and the Market Management System (MMS). During this brief system outage:

·         For any transactions sent to ERCOT, the submission systems will hold the transactions in queue for processing until the maintenance is complete (a delay in processing of up to 10 minutes).

·         WebServices queries to the MMS and OS will be delayed.

·         User interfaces to the MMS (Market Manager) and Outage Scheduler will be interrupted during this maintenance since data will be delayed or not retrievable by the web applications.

Impacted submission transactions include any submissions to the OS and MMS including Outages, Current Operating Plans, Trades, Energy Offer Curves and other related items.

ACTION REQUIRED:  No action is required on the part of the QSEs and TSPs as ERCOT is planning to hold and process all transactions received during this required maintenance.
