SHORT DESCRIPTION: REMINDER – Change to STARTTYPE calculation process for RUC-committed Resources

INTENDED AUDIENCE: QSE Settlement Personnel

DAY AFFECTED: March 28, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT is implementing changes to the STARTTYPE calculation process for RUC-committed Resources. The changes have a planned production migration date of March 28, 2011, and will take effect on settlement runs for the following Operating Days:

· March 22, 2011 – Initial

· February 1, 2011 – Final

Operating Days December 1, 2010, through January 31, 2011, will be corrected on True-Up.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The attached document provides further details of the process change. This change does not impact the overall structure of the extracts or tables nor result in an updated DDL. This is a relocation of a specific bill determinant within the settlements tableset.

Note the following changes to the bill determinants:

STARTTYPE will no longer be published in the Market Input Header/Interval tableset in the following extracts:

Settlement Inputs Data (SID) extract
Real Time Market Consolidated Operating Day Extract (RTM CODE)

STARTTYPE will be delivered in the Preprocess Header/Interval tableset in the RTM CODE extract
The DASTARTTYPE will remain unchanged and available in Market Input Header/Interval table set.

All bill determinant information including which table(s) they reside in can be found in the BILLDETERMINANT table within the Public Reference Data Extract (PRDE) posted to the Market Information System (MIS).
