SHORT DESCRIPTION: Implementation details of NPRR293 and NPRR303

LONG DESCRIPTION: On May 18, 2011, ERCOT will implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 293 and NPRR303.

NPRR293, Requirement to Post PTP Obligation Quantities Awarded in DAM (formerly “Requirement to Post CRR Option and Obligation Quantities Cleared in DAM or Taken to Real Time”), which was approved by the ERCOT Board on December 14, 2010, includes the requirement for ERCOT to implement the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) Total PTP Obligation Bid Awards by Settlement Point report.

NPRR303, Requirement to Post PTP Options Cleared in DAM or Taken to Real-Time, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on March 22, 2011, specifies the need for ERCOT to post quantities of PTP Options and PTP Options with Refund that were not cleared in DAM and were taken to real-time for settlement.

Since April 1, 2011, ERCOT has been manually posting a modified report for the DAM Total PTP Obligation Bid Awards by Settlement Point report with additional columns to address part of the requirements for both NPRR293 and NPRR303.

Although the structure and data within the existing report will not change, with the automated implementation of NPRR293 and NPRR303 on May 18, 2011, ERCOT will change the name from “DAM Total PTP Obligation Bid Awards by Settlement Point” to become “DAM PTP Obligation and Option Results by Settlement Point” to accurately reflect the contents of the report. In addition, the automated posting of this report will become part of the DAM publishing timeline at 13:30 each day and will contain the full posting requirements of both NPRR293 and NPRR303.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.

The DAM PTP Obligation and Option Results by Settlement Point report will be located on the Market Information System (MIS) under Day-Ahead Market Results at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis. An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.

The report will also be located on ERCOT.com under Day-Ahead Market Results Reports at http://www.ercot.com/mktinfo/dam/.
