SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Supporting information for NPRR322 related to Day-Ahead Market submission criteria

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  June 22, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 21, 2011, the ERCOT Board approved Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 322, Real-Time PTP Option Modeling, which is effective upon system implementation, except for the following sections which are effective upon Board approval, or June 22, 2011.

·         Paragraph (4) of Section 4.4.5, CRR Offers

·         Paragraph (4) of Section 4.4.5.1, CRR Offer Criteria

·         Paragraph (1) of Section 4.4.5.2, CRR Offer Validation

As described in those sections, effective immediately Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Offers submitted into the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) on behalf of Non-Opt-In-Entity (NOIE) CRR Account Holders shall only be used for delivery of energy to a NOIE Load or a valid combination of Settlement Points that physically or contractually mitigates risk in supplying the NOIE Load. Further, for each hour, the quantity of the CRR Offer may not exceed 110% of that NOIE’s peak Load forecast or 125% of the NOIE’s hourly Load forecast. The new CRR Offer submission rules will not be subject to validation by the market system.
