SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Initial and Final determination of RMR status for CPS Energy, Brauning Transmission Substation Units 1, 2 and 3

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  July 15, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) from CPS Energy on June 21, 2011, for the following Generation Resources:

• CPS Energy BRAUNIG_VHB1
• CPS Energy BRAUNIG_VHB2
• CPS Energy BRAUNIG_VHB3

ERCOT has completed its preliminary review and is issuing its initial determination that these Resources are not required to support ERCOT System reliability. Pursuant to Section 3.14.1.2(3) of the Nodal Protocols, this Notice will also serve as the final determination, and the Resources may cease or suspend operations according to the schedule in the NSO.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT has posted the analysis performed to arrive at its determination on the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area on the Grid/Generation page under Reliability Must Run at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Generation. An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
