NOTICE TYPE:  M-A072211-03 UPDATE – INFORMATIONAL:  Commercial API Hardware Upgrade

SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT Commercial API Hardware Upgrade Completed

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  August 22, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT completed a Commercial API hardware upgrade on Monday, August 22, 2011.

Both the current configuration, including the new upgrade, and the previous configuration will be available concurrently for one month. On September 22, 2011, the https://pi.ercot.com/servlet/piController URL will no longer be available for use.

Market participants will need to update the URL they are using to post to the Commercial API. The new URL that will be available with this implementation is https://misapi.ercot.com/piApp/piController.

ACTION REQUIRED:  Market participants have through September 21, 2011 to change the URL currently being used for the Commercial API. The old URL will no longer be available for use beginning September 22, 2011.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  If market participants experience issues with the Commercial API or the use of the new URL after the implementation, please contact the ERCOT HelpDesk at (512)248-6800 or [log in to unmask].
