SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Results of the EILS procurement for the October 2011 – January 2012 Contract Period

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSE settlement personnel

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has released the results of its procurement of Emergency Interruptible Load Service (EILS) for the Contract Period of October 1, 2011, through January 31, 2012.

PUC Substantive Rule 25.507 (f) requires ERCOT to report publicly the number of MW procured per Time Period, the number of Loads providing the service and the projected total cost of the service for that Contract Period within 10 days of the awards for a Contract Period. Award notifications were delivered to Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) via the Nodal Market Information System (MIS).

The results of this procurement are as follows:

Self-Provided capacity is included in the above tables, valued at the weighted average price per Time Period of the competitively-procured MW. Total maximum projected cost of EILS for this Contract Period, including projected credits for EILS Self-Provision, is $8,731,702.58. All numbers are subject to reduction adjustments based on EILS Loads’ availability and performance factors, which are calculated after the end of the Contract Period.
