SHORT DESCRIPTION: Modified Notification of Suspension of Operations for CPS Energy to remove Braunig
Unit 3
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: September 30, 2011
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) from CPS Energy
on June 21, 2011, for the following Generation Resources:
On July 15, 2011, ERCOT issued its Initial and Final Determination that these Generation Resources were not required to support ERCOT
System reliability and that they would suspend operations starting September 30, 2011, in accordance with the schedule in the NSO.
On September 27, 2011, ERCOT received a modified NSO from CPS Energy in which BRAUNIG_VHB3 was removed from the NSO as CPS Energy will now keep this
Resource operational.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Notification of Suspension of Operations and the analysis performed to
arrive at ERCOT’s determination are posted on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area on the Grid/Generation page under Reliability Must Run at
https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Generation.
An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
