SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Maximum number of CRR transactions exceeded for year 1 of the 2012 Annual CRR Auction

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  CRR Account Holders

DAYS AFFECTED:  October 28 – 31, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The total number of bids submitted for the first year of the 2012 Annual Congestion Revenue Right (CRR) Auction (2012 Annual Auction Y1) exceeded 200,000 (total transactions were 226,749), requiring a second round of bid submission (Per Protocol Section 7.5.2(2)(e)). Account Holders exceeding 1,765 allowable bids/offers in total for 2012 Annual Auction Y1 will have all of their bids/offers removed and will be required to resubmit new bids/offers. The second round bid window opened at 18:00 CPT, on October 28, 2011, and will close at 17:00 CPT on October 31, 2011.

Note that 2012 Annual Auction Y2 was not exceeded (total transactions were 190,359), so no action is required for Year 2 and the bid window will not be re-opened.

ACTION REQUIRED: Account Holders exceeding 1,765 allowable bids/offers in total will have all of their bids/offers removed from the 2012 Annual Auction Y1 and will be required to resubmit new bids/offers.
