NOTICE DATE:  November 9, 2011

NOTICE TYPE:  M-A110911-01 NPRR/SCR

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details for NPRR391

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSE and CRRAH settlement personnel

DAY AFFECTED:  December 1, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On December 1, 2011, ERCOT will partially implement changes for Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 391, Shortening RTM Settlement and Payment Timeline and Eliminate ACH as a Mode of Payment, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on October 18, 2011. NPRR391 requires posting of Real-Time Market (RTM) Initial Statements on the ninth day, rather than the tenth day, after each Operating Day and eliminates the option of making payments using Automated Clearing House (ACH) funds. ERCOT has updated the settlement calendar to reflect the new posting timeline.

Please note that the first Operating Day affected by this new timeline will be December 1, 2011. Because the ninth day after December 1, 2011, falls on Saturday, December 10, 2011, this statement will be posted on Monday, December 12, 2011, along with the RTM Initial Statements for November 30, 2011, December 2, 2011, and December 3, 2011.

The remaining portions of NPRR391 which shorten cash clearing for Settlements Invoices will be implemented upon system implementation.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  The settlement calendar extract that contains the updated schedule can be found at http://www.ercot.com/mktinfo/settlements/.

Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.

NPRR391 and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website, under Market Rules, at http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/issues/nprr/376-400/391/index.
