NOTICE TYPE:  R-A121411-01 ESIID Service History and Usage Extract Supplemental posting

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The ESIID Service History and Usage Extract posted on 11/08/2011 did not include the non-IDR ESIIDUSAGE data file. ERCOT is posting a supplemental extract today that includes the ESIIDUSAGE file based on the current state of the usage data in ERCOT systems.

DAYS AFFECTED:  November 8, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The ESIID Service History and Usage Extract posted on 11/08/2011 did not include the non-IDR ESIIDUSAGE data file. ERCOT is posting a supplemental extract today that includes the ESIIDUSAGE file based on the current state of the usage data in ERCOT systems.

The ESIID Service History and Usage Extract Supplemental will be posted in a zip format with the following naming convention:

ext. reportid.dunsnumber.yyyymmdd.hh24:mi:ss.ESIID_EXTRACT_Supplemental.zip

 

The zip file will contain a .csv file for the ESIIDUSAGE with the following naming convention:

DUNSNUMBER-ESIIDUSAGE-DD-MON-YY_Supplemental.csv 

This supplemental posting will only contain the ESIIDUSAGE file. The DDL of the ESIIDUSAGE file is the same as the daily files that are posted.

PROCESSING INFORMATION: Market Participants should first process their daily ESIID Service History and Usage Extract posted on 12/14/2011. The supplemental ESIIDUSAGE file should then be processed to bring Market Participants systems to the current state of the ESIIDUSAGE data at ERCOT. No additional file processing is necessary.

ISSUE RESOLUTION: The cause of the ESIIDUSAGE file not being included in the 11/08/2011 ESIID Service History and Usage Extract posting was due to an off cycle release interfering with the extract while it was generating. ERCOT has completed the impact analysis for the extract with the only impact being the missing ESIIDUSAGE file. ERCOT has updated the off cycle release process to include additional checks prior to migration taking place.
