SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Workshop to provide implementation details of NPRRs 426, 427 and 428

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On January 5, 2012, ERCOT will implement the following Nodal Protocol Revision Requests (NPRRs), which were approved by the ERCOT Board on December 12, 2011.

·         NPRR426, Standing Non-Spin Deployment in the Operating Hour for Generation Resources Providing On-Line Non-Spin

·         NPRR427, Energy Offer Curve Requirements for Generation Resources Assigned Reg-Up and RRS

·         NPRR428, Energy Offer Curve Requirements for Generation Resources Assigned Non-Spin Responsibility

ERCOT will host a workshop to explain the changes during the December 20, 2011, Reliability Deployment Task Force (RDTF) meeting, from 13:00 until 15:00 CPT. Summaries of the changes are as follows:

·         NPRR426 – changes the requirements for Non-Spin deployments such that all On-Line Non-Spin Ancillary Service Resource Responsibility shall always be deployed from certain Resources during the Operating Hour without requiring deployment instructions from ERCOT

·         NPRR427 – changes the requirements for the Energy Offer Curve (EOC) such that the portion reserved for Responsive Reserve Service (RRS) and/or Regulation Up (Reg-Up) Service must be priced at the System-Wide Offer Cap (SWCAP)

·         NPRR428 – changes the requirements for the EOC such that the portion reserved for Non-Spin capacity may not be offered at less than $120/MWh for On-Line Non-Spin or $180/MWh for Off-Line Non-Spin

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  The December 20, 2011, RDTF agenda page is available at http://www.ercot.com/calendar/2011/12/20111220-RDTF. This meeting will be provided with a WebEx and will be scheduled to begin at 09:30 CPT. The workshop portion of the meeting will begin at 13:00 CPT.
