SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Intermittent Report Retrieval Issues

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  All Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED:  January 31, 2012 from 06:00 to 08:23

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced report retrieval issues for the Market Information System (MIS), ERCOT Web Services (EWS) ‘GetReports’, and ERCOT.com. These issues were encountered for the following timeframes:  05:55 – 08:30, 09:28 – 09:38 and 11:30 – 11:48.

During these timeframes, data retrieval from the Market Information System and ERCOT Website was intermittently interrupted. Also during these times, the External Web Services experienced a performance degradation for the following ‘Get’/Retreival services:

-          AggregatedASOfferCurves

-          ASServicePlan

-          BindingConstraints

-          CompetitiveConstraints

-          DynamicRatings

-          LMPs

-          LoadForecasts

-          LoadRatioShares

-          MarketTotals

-          SCEDViolatedConstraints

-          SPPs

-          STWPF

-          SystemLoad

-          TotalASOffers

-          TotalEnergys

-          TotalLoad

-          WeatherInfos

-          WGRPP

All retrieval functionality has been restored

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT is currently monitoring performance of the database and all applications. The root cause of the retrieval issue is still being investigated.
