NOTICE TYPE:  M-A011012-01 Operations

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  New Settlement Point to be added to the Network Operations Model

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED:  January 25 and February 1, 2012

LONG DESCRIPTION:  A new Settlement Point, NACPW_UNIT1, will be added in the January 25, 2012, Network Operations Model load but will not be effective until February 1, 2012. The new Settlement Point was biddable for the February 2012 CRR Auction. 

Because the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) does not have the capability to accept offers and bids submitted on a future Network Operations Model, ERCOT added the Settlement Point in an earlier model load with the intention of the Settlement Point being effective February 1, 2012. This will allow Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) to submit transactions on the new Settlement Point for the DAM execution on January 31, 2012, for Operating Day February 1, 2012. 

For Operating Days prior to February 1, 2012, Market Participants should NOT submit transactions on NACPW_UNIT1. ERCOT will manually remove any bids and offers on this point, because it is not intended to be effective until February 1, 2012, and will manually remove any confirmed trades that include this point prior to the execution of Settlements.
