NOTICE DATE: January 20, 2012
NOTICE TYPE: W-A012012-01 Operations
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Delayed wind forecast delivery
INTENDED AUDIENCE: QSEs
DAYS AFFECTED: January 19 and 20, 2012
LONG DESCRIPTION: The Wind Generation Resource forecasts – Short-Term Wind Power Forecast (STWPF) and Wind-powered Generation Resource Production Potential (WGRPP) – were delivered late for the intervals
listed below. ERCOT asks that Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) use the most recent STWPF to update their Current Operating Plan (COP) for Reliability Unit Commitment studies. Due to the late delivery, QSEs may not have been able to update their COPs on
time with the most recent forecast. A fix to the ERCOT issue listed below will be moved to production on January 23, 2012. The vendor issues listed below have been resolved.
