SHORT DESCRIPTION:  UPDATE – URL change for ERCOT report downloads

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants who download reports via MIS or EWS

DAYS AFFECTED:  February 22 and March 6, 2012

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT is re-implementing the URL changes that were previously postponed, as communicated in Notice M-A101211-05. ERCOT has completed testing the misapp and misdownload changes. The changes listed below will be implemented internally at ERCOT on February 22, 2012, during the scheduled release.

Market Information System (MIS) and ERCOT Website Users:

·         On February 22, 2012, the current UI URL for report downloads will change from:

https://mis.ercot.com/misapp/servlets/mirDownload?doclookupid=?

To:

https://mis.ercot.com/misdownload/servlets/mirDownload?doclookupid=?

Market Participants should discontinue use of any saved ‘bookmarks’ and replace with the updated URLs.

External Web Services (EWS) Users:

·         On February 22, 2012, the URL returned from an API query of GetReport List utilizing MISAPI.ERCOT.COM will change from:

https://misapi.ercot.com/misapp/servlets/mirDownload?doclookupid=?

To:

https://misapi.ercot.com/misdownload/servlets/mirDownload?doclookupid=?

On March 6, 2012, ERCOT will decommission the misapp URL, specifically /misapp/servlets/mirDownload. This decommission will have no functional impact on users of MIS and ERCOT.com. This change only affects user who have scripts or bookmarks to URLs containing a “misapp” configuration.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Between February 22, 2012, and March 6, 2012, both URLs will return information to the user. Market Participants should have all bookmarks and saved URLs replaced with the new URLs prior to the March 6, 2012, decommissioning effort. Additionally, users must have the appropriate roles assigned to their Digital Certificates in order to download certified data sets.
