SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation of TSAT for West to North Stability Transfer Limits

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  February 15, 2012

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be implementing the on-line Transient Security Assessment Tool (TSAT) for use in calculating Day Ahead and Real-Time West to North Stability Limits.  ERCOT will begin using TSAT on February 14 to determine the West to North Stability limits for the February 15 Day Ahead Market and then implementing TSAT on-line for Real-Time West to North Stability Limits at 00:01 CPT on Wednesday, February 15, 2012. 

TSAT is intended to improve the accuracy of Transient Stability limits by improving ERCOT’s ability to study and establish the limit with the most current conditions available.
