SHORT DESCRIPTION:  NERC request for 2011 and 2012 Summer Peak ERCOT Dynamics Data

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) has requested from ERCOT a copy of the 2011 and 2012 Summer Peak ERCOT Dynamics Data. NERC Staff has been asked by the System Analysis and Modeling Subcommittee (SAMS) to conduct an analysis on whether there are power flow and dynamics data quality issues in certain interconnections, including the ERCOT Region. 

As such, ERCOT intends to provide this sensitive data to NERC through the use of a Confidentiality Agreement (CA). ERCOT has previously provided to NERC the 2009 Dynamics Data under a similar CA and issued a Notice to Resource Entities on that matter at that time. The CA will be very similar to the Transmission and/or Distribution Service Provider CA allowed for under Section 1.3.6(7) of the ERCOT Protocols. Only NERC Staff will have access to the ERCOT dynamics data; no data will be shared with Market Participants or manufacturers.
